Interval Thursday

I had to get a picture for the blog.  Doing the same pose over and over gets boring so here is me loving the sunshine!  Look I can fly!

I am soo glad I did my run this morning as it has turned into a very blustery day and I feel a bit like this when I go outside. This morning was beautiful though.

I did my speed workout today 1 mile warmup then 8 half mile intervals with a 2 minute rest period. Although I did break the last one into two quarter mile intervals since you are supposed to walk away from the workout feeling like you could have done one more and I didn't think that if I did another half mile interval I would have felt that way, but I love quarter mile intervals and always feel like I can bang t

hose out. It felt really good and so did the sunshine. My goal time for the intervals was to keep it right around 3:25 -3:30 so I was pretty close

The my kids and my sisters kids wanted to run some too, so they ran the half mile or so to my brother's house to play with their cousins. Note Small's pink cowgirl boots :)

Still doing the push up challenge. today will be 20, 25, 20, 20 , 28.    Also did the Amazing Abs workout today.  My new favorite bodyrock.tv workout though is now the 600 Rep Fat Burner Workout.
It is a great workout and had me dripping in sweat.  If you haven't tried it check it out.

Have a great Thursday everyone!  Thanks to all of my new followers, I have loved getting to know all of you and thank you for all your great comments.  I am in the works of planning a giveaway so stay tuned!

  2. Great jumping photo, very cool looking.

Your workout looked great too, very complicated though! Maybe one day I'd be able to replicate such a thing...I just do very basic runs, but if I want to be faster I probably need to do stuff like that.

  3. Those are some solid 800 meter repeat times! You are probably aware of the Yasso 800 workout (I think you did it above), where your projected marathon time is your average 800 meter repeat time if you do at least 8 or 10 of them I think. You might want to look at the specifics of the workout though, haha

And you always have great run pics with great scenery.

Congrats on that tough interval work and those push ups! I totally need to get on the push-ups. Also, I should probably learn how to do a pull-up. I think have jello for arms.
