Super Quick Update

Not really much to say, the knee is feeling way better.  I haven't run on it yet, but I did get on my elliptical for 45 minutes yestereday with no pain or discomfort.  Later I trudged up and down a hill 10 times while I was helping my husband with the water line.  I am not going to try running on it until Friday and see how it feels.  If if feels great then I will do the half marathon, if it doesn't I will force myself to stay home that day :(  which I know will be soon much better in the long run.  I will really only be out $20, this was a cheap half marathon!   I have to be at work early today for a meeting...ugh.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Do you love or hate work meetings?
Mostly I hate them, the only good thing is we can usually have them in our lounge so at least we can eat during them.

  1. Yay for less knee pain! Hope you're 100% so soon!

We have meetings ALL THE TIME at my current work. I'm changing jobs soon, and I totally won't miss it.

  2. Glad the knee is feeling better!
In another life I despised work meetings. We had meetings to prepare for meetings. Sucked. Precisely why I don't do it anymore.

  3. Awesome that your knee is feeling better!

I really don't mind work meetings if we actually meet about something important and get things accomplished. However, most of my work meetings are political and worthless. So that stinks.

  4. Sounds like a good plan for your knee. I hope it continues to heal fast.

I'm not a fan of meetings. Especially when people Start asking questions only pertinent to them instead of waiting for another time to ask.

  7. Good luck with the knee. I am still thinking about you a lot. $20 for a hald marathon? That is dirt cheap.

I HATE work meetings. They are such a waste of time but every once in a blue moon we get free lunch which is nice. :) Have a great day!

  10. Checked your sidebar - you've got some other races lined up already - that might make it easier to sit this next one out if you need to. And your 1/2 marathon PB is fast!

  11. I'm so glad your knee is feeling better!

I don't have work meetings since I don't work, but I remember hating them, unless there were doughnuts involved.

  12. That is a great sign that you felt no pain on the elliptical - that is the first test that my physical therapist said to try when I start feeling better in order to progress to running eventually.

  18. $20 for half? Awesome! The cheapest one I've done is $40. I'm glad to hear that the knee is holding up, I've got my fingers crossed for you. I like that work meetings get me away from my desk but that is about it. Otherwise I really dislike them. And work in general.

  19. Hooray for your knee feeling better!
I work from home now, but I used to love work meetings just because they were something different to break up the day! And...snacks. Obviously.
    :)
