Three Things Thursday

1. I did not run yesterday.  It was really cold and really windy.  I can take one or the other but not both.   Wind chills below zero were too much yesterday.  On top of it all I was just feeling blah after being up all night with the kids. I did my elliptical instead and didn't even mind. I also did a 16 minute Bodyrock.tv workout that left me wiped and made me cut my elliptical workout back from a planned 60 minutes to ahem 20.  I guess it was just one of those days.

2. The winner of the Pearl Izumi arm sleeves is...

Congrats to Jess at My Continuing Quest for Sanity!

Send me an email with your info and I will get those out to you!

3. My husband decided last night that he wanted some no bake cookies.  The kids wanted to make chocolate chip cookies.  So we made both.  I think we did more baking last night than I did all of the Christmas season.  They both turned out pretty good except I accidentally put baking powder in the chocolate chip cookies.  They are good, but different somehow.  The kids didn't notice though.

ps Congrats to Kiley at Daily Vitamin F and the new addition to her family!  I think that leaves three bloggers that I know of preggers!

  1. You know, I think I am finally going to try BodyRock, thanks to you! A)You're ripped, so clearly it works and B)I kinda like how the videos are short and not like an hour and a half. That sounds perfect!

  3. I feel you on the cold + wind and that is why I ended up sleeping for an extra hour this morning. I'm going to try to squeeze in a treadmill run at some point today.

  5. We're going to make choc chip cookies this weekend, too. I do NOT cook, bake, or clean house for that matter (I'm good at ignoring dirt and bad at housewifery), but my son really wants to make cookies this weekend, so we're going to attempt to bake.

  6. Wind chills below 0 would make me stay indoors too...I have a hard enough time handling low double digits!

  7. Mmm. Cookies.

Wind is totally my nemesis. It's by far my least favorite element. Bah to wind!

  14. I agree with you about no cold and wind runs. Cold is okay but not with wind! It is nice that you have the elliptical back-up!
