Although last year I did a duathlon and really did NOT enjoy racing on a bike (so different from running races in so many different ways), so I don't know that I'll do that again, but it's still good to mix things up and for cross-training. I think I rely too much on the elliptical for cross-training and you make a good point about it being too close to running.Beth @ RUNNING around my kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15613775976394277920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6993815500672701308.post-49386345995297562992012-09-11T08:28:10.034-06:002012-09-11T08:28:10.034-06:00I learned to love biking in a spin class actually!...I learned to love biking in a spin class actually! I got addicted and then bought my first road bike this year! It's fun and a great alternative to running for sure. Less stress on my knees! I do love it for cross training but I also really love making up my own HIIT workouts and now I am also doing Insanity to switch things up!! I had a really heavy road bike and it felt like so much work but then I got a nice road bike that weighed 15 lbs and it made a huge difference. Sadly, being more aerodynamic made it fun x 10 :) Coy Martinezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00144649093762262574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6993815500672701308.post-54113604984975760252012-09-10T21:19:39.293-06:002012-09-10T21:19:39.293-06:00I've been biking to work lately (it's bike...I've been biking to work lately (it's bike to work month here) and I enjoy it.
