As someone who regularly struggles with injuries which cause me to take off running for months at a time, all I can say is take time off and let yourself heal. I've had my fair share in the past and the longest I've had to take off is 6 months (because I kept trying to just run). DONT DO THAT! I was really scared running today because I figured I would just re-injure my knee. I'm not totally satisfied with how it feels, so I might take another week or two off. SIGH.
