Is that dresser solid wood? If so, sanding it and getting the stain matched will work ok. If it is a veneer, I don't think you can sand much (depending on how thick that veneer is.) Good luck. That is a very nice dresser.

Rainier cherries have been on my grocery list lately too. I love them more than the red cherries. I have never tried ones than have been canned but I am sure they are good! You will probably have to sand the area down and re-stain it. I don't think it is hard to do but matching the color might be a little challenging.
