Less congested course for everyone, and I got to see the elites come in from the full after I'd had a chance to cool down a bit from the half. It's 8/31!!! August! A half marathon starting at 10!!! Yes, that makes sense, lets run for 2+ hours in the hottest part of the day, at the hottest time of the year. Brilliant! Oh, you know why? Cause they want the race to end at lunch so everyone will buy the BBQ afterward. That is, if they survive the noon time heat. ugh.
