That's the end of April

Time to wrap up another week! It wasn't my best week in running, but I think a week of easier was okay,

Sunday was cold and rainy.  I ended up taking a cross training day on the elliptical and doing some yoga,

Monday started out feeling a little rough but once my legs got warmed up it felt really good and I ran a pretty good negative split.

Tuesday the legs were just not feeling it so I kept it short and easy. More grey overcast skies.

Where is the sunshine?! Not around this week!

Our bottle baby Mack has progressed to being a bucket baby meaning he gets to slurp instead of suck.

Wednesday I came home from work and did 10 minutes on the rowing machine and a 15 minute HIIT workout. I had really wanted to run but the roads were so muddy and slippery.  Then I cooled off in the rain.
Rain sweet rain.

Thursday I did a 20 minute Beachbody workout in the morning that I liked, but now I can't remember which one it was. eh whatever

Friday... nothing. I had to work and then my daughter had a birthday party and grocery shopping blah blah blah.

Saturday.. branding day, I was planning to run after we were done, but I made the mistake of snuggling up on the couch with a kid to watch a few minutes of a movie and I was down for the count.

My lil cowboy and his cowgirl cousin were a great team holding down the calves while they got their vaccines and brands.  Teamwork!

and pictures from the yoga challenges I did this week. I ended April with 2 challenges, which is one more than I prefer. It's a lot for me to keep up with!

I am still deciding on a May challenge, I think I am going to pick one that challenges me a lot more... some of the poses look really hard but it's good to be challenged!

  1. Looks like a great month for you! I'd love to participate in a yoga challenge but it's tough to get a daily pose done and posted! I think I'm going to take the month of May to regroup and rehab. We'll see what happens after that!

  2. Sometimes an easy week is just what the body and mind need to ramp things up again. I'm always impressed with your yoga challenges. I'm just pleased with myself when I make it to a yoga class once or twice a week.

  5. Congrats on the negative split run. They are my favorite kind! If I sit down to watch a movie, I always fall asleep! I'm so impressed by your yoga poses. I can't wait to see what challenge you conquer next. Thanks for linking with us Christy!

  6. Good job on your workouts. I am not a fan of yoga but I should start doing it. It is suppose to be yucky here all here so I doubt I'll get my runs it. Hope the forecast is wrong.

  7. You are so brave to be out in your shorts and sleeves - I am such a wimp when it comes to feeling cold at all!

  8. I have been trying to get in more speed work and really trying for negative splits on my runs. Sometimes I can do it but other times I can't. I do think it's helping though.
So do you hot brand or freeze brand your cows? I had brands made for my husband and also for my daughter but we have yet to put them on our horses. We are going with freeze branding.
