Monday Motivation

Boy I need some motivation today.  i had heard rain and snow were in the forecast and they were not kidding.  I got up to a snow covered world this morning.  :(  I know it can still snow here until June, but I just really want it to be spring and nice out.  and wear skirts running outside.  I also feel like I have a cold creeping in.  My throat feels dry and scratchy, my lungs feels like they may be trying to get congested and while I have not tried talking yet this morning, pretty sure there is a frog in there waiting to make an appearance.

Do you need some motivation too?  Well you can check out all the great race recaps around the bloggy world from this weekend.  That always motivates me. or try some of these

I don't know that it makes me feel motivated to run or just a wuss for not wanting to run outside today.  I don't want to be cold.  I know I will warm up after the first mile if I am dressed right. which brings me to the next one

I know I shouldn't limit my running just because it snowed a little and is really nasty out there! Afterall...
I am just feeling so over winter

I am also motivated by my race performance yesterday :)

Tell me what is motivating you today?

  1. Wow, that's a lot of snow! I would have a hard time getting out to run in that too. We got a dusting of snow last night too, but nothing like that! I hope you feel better:)

  2. It's glorious weather here, so that's pretty motivating. I totally understand the snow keeping you inside, though. I mean, I am the wussiest runner alive after all.

  5. I like that t-shirt! I always need some extra motivation to get out the door when the weather is less than favorable. Hopefully your snow doesn't stick around for a long time.

  7. We woke up to snow in Utah today too. And yes I agree with the above comment that those girls abs are pretty dang motivating. On to read your race recap. :)

  8. The skier in me is always motivated by fresh powder snow! :) I even don't mind running in it. But running in rain..... well, that's a different story.

  9. We don't get much decent snow here so I'd love to wake up to that view! I probably would go for a bit of a hike rather than a run though!

And as for motivation, I'm not the right person to ask! Maybe I will be that person one day...

  13. yikes, that snow is no fun! So sorry :( Hope you don't get sick. My motivation today was proving myself wrong that I can bounce back and be tough no matter what.

  14. Snow fun! :) I can't imagine running in the snow and I won't run in rain unless I paid for it.

I hope you aren't getting sick!

My motivation has been that I can actually run pretty much pain free lately. I also have the shamrock shuffle 8k which I plan to PR In God willing. After an extended injury I find I appreciate te little (or big) things in my life- like running a lot more :)
