Motivation Monday

What is better than running in a hurricane.. lots really, like running in Montana on a 55 degree fall day with just a slight breeze and lots of sunshine!

Hope all the East Coast runners are staying safe and dry and warm.  and really even though the feeling you get from a good run is better than not running, being safe is pretty key too.

Random Bits:

I am currently waiting for my little sis to get done running so I can go.

My little cowgirl had a rough night of bad dreams and then puking on my bed at four this morning.  She is chilling on the couch watching Black Beauty.

Rocky Ballerina One Dot is playing a cat and mouse game with a dirty sock.  He also found a new favorite place to sleep.  Right under the kitchen cupboards by the heat vent.

Anyone race over the weekend?  Not me, AGAIN!

What is motivating you today? This awesome weather!

  1. Aww, adorable picture!! I'm in the middle of the lovely hurricane weather so I'm certainly jealous of your beautiful fall day. Of course, I'll try to remember that when you are buried in snow!

  2. Rocky is one smart cat! He looks so comfy under the cabinet by the vent.

Hope your little cowgirl feels better quick!

Your weather sounds lovely. It's surprisingly a bit cooler here in Chicago, but will have some 50-60mph winds later this week. Fun.

No races for me either- guess my motivation is reading other people's race racaps.

  6. No race this weekend since I’m trying to squirrel some cash away for Ragnar Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and couldn’t afford the entry fee. But I did volunteer at a Halloween 10k, which was a fun, eye opening experience.
Sorry to hear your daughter isn’t feeling well.

  10. OH rocky, so stinkin cute. I am jealous of your good weather. I had crazy wind and it was like 30 degrees. Boo, but I'm grateful nothing like the east coast. Love that first pic too, so true! I did a 10k yesterday, felt good to do a race.

  11. OK, I won't lie....I am so not a cat fan, but that picture is adorable!!

We should have some decent weather this week, but it was FREEZING this weekend.

    I did a 10K & 5K this weekend...nothing major!

  12. My friends in NYC have been sending me some harrowing photos! I hope all is well by the time the marathon rolls around this weekend.

What's motivating me? The crazy fact that I have a marathon in five weeks....scary.....I am a huge idiot, I think.

  18. I love that photo of the cat. Animals are weird but so funny! Currently it's been in the 50s here, so the running is good. I am only wishing it would stay light later.

  20. Great pic of your cat!! The good thing about this weekend's hurricane (really the only good thing) is the mild temps...I love an Indian Summer!!
