Renegade Ways

1. My husband and a friend of his used to own this beautiful horse who is gracing the cover of Range Magazine and sold him to a guy who raises bucking horses.  He now is the stud horse for a band of mares and is a cover model.

I love this magazine for it's tell the truth stories and defense of those living in the west maintaining a western legacy.

2. The kids and I were expecting a box from Amazon.com and it came some time over the weekend and the 4 inches of rain we got. Lucky for us all of our things were wrapped in cellophane because by the time we found the box on the front steps it had nearly disintegrated in the rain.

This was what I got much the disgust of my yoga skeptic family.
They might all make fun of my yoga but it has made a world of difference for me. I can't wait to try this one out!

Did I mention it did nothing but rain this weekend? We played a lot of cards, and I got in a few great workout, but admittedly no runs.  I am not ready for being cold and wet and I don't want to risk getting sick or injured so close to my next half marathon.
I did do yoga, the elliptical and a HIIT workout both days though so it isn't like I didn't do anything.

Do you tend to be more cautious as a big race gets closer?  I DO!

  1. I hate it when stuff gets left on the porch in bad weather! One of our postmen always puts the doormat over boxes, and I really appreciate it. It takes an extra two seconds of his time and has saved a lot of my things. I wish they'd all do that!

  3. I'm also a lot more careful about getting sick/injured close to a race - it's just not worth it!

  4. I've been having major problems with UPS too! I work from home and they have ceased to ring the doorbell for deliveries, even if we need to sign for them. I literally chased a truck down the street last week because he didn't knock and took off with a package! :)

  5. I'm always super paranoid the closer I get to races - hand sanitizer, lots of vitamin c and no chances of injury or illness!
