A Zipfizz Winner! and some other random stuff

Thanks to all of you who wished my husband and I a Happy Anniversary yesterday :)

I haven't had a race in a while so it has been fun reading everyone else's recaps.  I have been logging some pretty good mileage though and keeping up a pretty good base.  I think in January I will start getting serious about training and speed work again, but this little break and just taking time to enjoy running has been great! I do have a 5k and mile street run on Thanksgiving which at first I really wanted to ace, but now I think it will be interesting just to see how much my race pace will be affected by not doing the speed work. I have done a little, but not a lot.  I think really only two speed sessions since September.

Part of me really wanted to ace that street mile and see how fast I could do it, but I think it was time for my body to take a break from hard training for awhile so I did.  Now if I could just be better about remembering to stretch.  I always say to myself, I will do it when I sit down to watch tv, but then  I sit down to watch tv and I forget.  UGH

And the winner of the Zipfizz giveaway is..

who turns out to be ...
if you can't read that it is Jerilee from Mom's Gone Running  Not sure why that came out so fuzzy. Congrats!  Shoot me an email with your info and I will get that out to you.

Tell me your favorite stretch!

  1. I like pigeon pose, it does wonders for my funky hips. I've been pretty terrible about stretching lately too, and it's catching up with me. As I'm typing this my legs are screaming for a little stretching love. Happy belated anniversary!

  5. Happy belated anniversary!!

Don't know the names of yoga poses and such, but I do enjoy a good yoga class at my gym here and there.

I have a set of some stretches that I usually do after each run and that seems to do the trick.

  7. Yay! I love winning!

I've started to stretch after running, but I never did until recently. I never stretch before, though.

  8. Running and other exercises are good for health specially for knee health. We should run routinely to have stronger knee joints for better health. Very bad conditions or pain of knee joints could be treated by total Knee replacement
