I was challenged to come up with a 10 minute workout routine using a household object as part of the Keeping Your Heart Healthy campaign with www.myvouchercodes.com
I chose a laundry basket. I am a big fan of home workouts and have been doing them for years, so this was a fun challenge. I also admit my laundry basket has been used many times over the years during workouts. I hope you try the workout, or at least gain some inspiration from it.
It always drives me crazy when people say they don't workout because they can't afford to belong to a gym. You don't need to go to a gym to be fit!
and so for the second time this week, I present you with a vlog. Things are getting crazy!
and just to break it down..
It is a 10 minute workout, but you can repeat as many times as you want to make it longer.
50 seconds work, 10 seconds rest for each move
- toe taps on basket
- up and over pushups
- sit-ups with a twist
- forward and backward lunges
- hop over the basket burpees
Do you make up your own workouts? I do all the time. I haven't belonged to a gym in over a decade and I really have to admit I don't miss the gym. Home workouts save time and money. There are plenty of online sites to get workouts and inspiration from. Plus, there is the added bonus of my kids seeing me be active.
What things in your house do you use when you workout? I also use my coffee table and dining room chairs regularly.
